Outstanding!
Mr. Putnam came out within two days of our call and gave us an estimate for a fence surrounding our backyard. He was very professional, and he gets the job done on time. Great prices! Great end product! Highly recommended.

They are great!
Probably the Best in the Tampa Bay! What can I say but they were great. They were very professional.
Mr. Putnam helped me with matters that didn't even concern my fence. That just shows customer service

Would Give 6-STARS If Possible!
Owner Terry Putnam is professional, knowledgeable, clever, and well experienced.
He showed up at my Tampa property promptly for the scheduled quote for a fence installation,
gave a fair and comprehensive quote including all work required and even started preliminary
repair while on the spot which was of tremendous help. He and his crew returned early on the
day of installation with his foreman Ceasar and expertly completed all work in a timely manner
including removal of debris and sweeping the area clean. If ever in my area Terry you would be
more than welcomed to sit down in my home for a coffee while between appointments.

For me - best in town!
Putnam Fencing was the third company we called for a fence estimate last month.
Mr. Putnam came out to see us. Although he got stuck in traffic, he called us
four times to tell us where he was and kept us posted. When he arrived, he
immediately addressed our fence issues. The whole process took about 30 minutes
with him asking alot of questions. The other companies were asking us to upgrade
this and that, even talking about other companies and one of them was late without
making phone calls like Mr. Putnam did. We made arrangements with Mr. Putnam for
the installation. The fence looks gorgeous and already we are the talk of the neighbors.

Such a nice gentlemen.
I have a dog that loves to get out and roam the neighborhood.
I found this company thru a friend. I have had an enjoyable working
experience with the owner. Mr. Putnam, took the time to explain every
aspect of the fence that I wanted. He also explained to me how he was going
to remove the old fence. I left for work and came home to a lovely fence.
He had the old one on a trailer, all the trash and bushes on it as well.
Customer service lives with this company. Thank you Putnam Fencing.

They arrived as promised and put up 200+ feet of fencing in one day. The
grade of materials they used were above normal standards and they were

The Best!!!
Putnam Fencing
went above and beyond what anyone else would have. They are a company of
their word and if you are not happy they will do everything possible to
make you happy. Their customer service is the best. They keep in contact
with you and keep you informed. They follow through and are very honest.
They put up my fence quickly and when they said they would. My daughter
and I are already enjoying our spacious back yard in the comfort of safety

Best in Town!
Had
contacted several top rated companies on Superpages for fencing. Some did
not show up, others did not have the time to build ours. Terry, the owner,
came out and gave us an estimated on the spot. We went with his company
because of the reviews we seen on superpages about his company along with
the inability of the others to not even care for our business. He handles
every aspect of the fence installation from delivery to completion. All we
had to do was be present at the initial startup and completion to sign
paperwork. I must say in this present day and age, it is good to see a
company care as much as his did. If you are tired of inadequate service
and high prices from other companies. Try this company. It was worth every
penny. Thank you Terry for your professionalism and expert
craftsmanship.

If
you are looking for a reputable, quality company to build fencing or
gates, I highly recommend Putnam Fencing. They recently completed a job
for me, and were always prompt, friendly, and even fun to work with. The
quality of their work is excellent. They were referred to me by others in
my neighborhood who were just as thrilled with the job they did as I have
been. The company owner is actively involved in the work, and employs a
crew that he has worked with for years they all work well together
and the results prove it.

Wow! My garden fence is beautiful!: Putnam Fencing
is the absolutely the BEST fence company in Tampa! I am so thrilled with

Called on a Friday and we need a vinyl fence asap
because we just got a puppy. By next week Friday we had a beautiful new

We got Putnam Fencings' name from a friend of ours

Fast

History of Fences
The history of fences probably dates back to ancient days of
prehistoric man. But before delving into the hsitory it is worthwhile
considering the definition of a fence.
When we think of fence it is usually of a type of barrier that provides
a basic kind of barrier yet it often flexible and light weight, being able
to see through the fence is important also, as distinct from a wall.

Because of the often semi-temporary nature of fences, typically made
out of wood, the archaelogical evidence of fences is often difficult to
spot.
Some fences would have been grown from hedges or plantings of
trees.
You can see an example of possible Roman style fence, though more
likely to be a military style at a google image search for roman fences
One of the major early uses of fences would have been in the
development of the domestication of animals. Being able to keep animals
enclosed in an area would have been important for early commerce.
Agricultural fences would have been a signficant technological development
from a more hunter gatherer society.
